We would like to welcome you to our web site.  The Couch Coach Sports league started in 1993, when a small group of friends who loved sports decided that we wanted to do more than just watch the football games on TV and see who was winning. We also figured playing Fantasy Football was a good reason to get together and keep in touch with friends. Thus, The Southern Maryland Couch Coach Sports League was born.

  We started out with 8 Fantasy Football teams and eventually grew to 4 leagues, Fantasy Football, Fantasy Nascar, Loser Football and the March Madness Challenge.  As our lives have gotten busier, We've had to focus more on our passion, NASCAR.  So, were down to 2 leagues, Fantasy Nascar and the Nascar Pool.

  One of the main contributors to our growth was Richie "Warthog" Clegg.  Richie passed away January of 1998. We will always remember Richie, (not for his competition, he wasn't that good)  but for his friendship (for that, he was the best). 

  As the years have past , one of the greatest benefits to keeping this league running has been, still keeping in touch with a  lot of friends that probably would have drifted away as we go about our hectic lives ,and making new friends through the league. Even for some who have never met, you still feel you know each other through the competition.
